The Maine Coon
Known for their large stature and thick fur coat, the Maine Coon is a cat that's hard to ignore. Belonging to the state of Maine and the official state cat, the Maine Coon is a gentle giant. They are great hunters and became popular in the late 1970s after the CFA recognized them as a purebred. They are one of the most famous breeds of cats. Many of the mannequins have polydactylism, or extra toes, which make their already large feet look even bigger.
